About

Hi, I'm Adam Abdul-Rafik

Software Engineer and the person behind DePrograma, my software engineering brand. Build. Secure. Automate.

How I work

I'm a self-taught software engineer based in Ghana. I learn by building real software and working through what it demands.

My current focus is SignalTechRepairSystem, a multi-tenant management system for repair shops that is in pilot preparation. Its hardest problems are business rules, access control and data integrity — and documenting limitations as carefully as features.

I care about software that is maintainable, honest about its state, and useful to the people who rely on it.

Focus

What I'm interested in

  • Backend systems

APIs and data models that hold real business rules — workflows, permissions and money — and keep them consistent.

  • Security-conscious development

Validation, authorization and careful handling of sessions and data, designed in rather than added later.

  • Practical products

Software that fits how a business actually works, from a repair shop's daily workflow to a public website.

  • Automation

Scripts and tools that remove repetitive manual steps, such as database setup, migrations and client provisioning.
