Capabilities

What I work on

Three areas I focus on, each backed by work in my own projects.

  • Build

Web applications, APIs and practical software products, from data model to interface.

In practiceReact and TypeScript frontend on an Express and PostgreSQL API, with schema-validated requests.

  • Secure

Security-conscious development: input validation, authorization rules and careful handling of sessions and data.

In practiceServer-side tenant and branch scope checks, hashed session tokens, parameterized queries and rate-limited login.

  • Automate

Removing repetitive manual steps and connecting systems where it genuinely helps.

In practiceCommand-line tools for database setup, ordered migrations and client provisioning.

Approach

How I approach engineering

The working principles I hold myself to.

  1. Maintainable architecture

Clear module boundaries and a data model that matches the business, so the next change is easy to make.

  2. Security from the start

Authorization, validation and secret handling are designed in, and remaining risks are written down honestly.

  3. Explicit business rules

Validation and workflow rules live on the server, where they can be enforced and tested.

  4. Test and verify

Changes are checked with automated tests and real runs, not assumed to work because the code compiles.

  5. Iterative delivery

Ship a small, working slice, learn from it, then extend — rather than building everything at once.
